Woodland Hills, California

Next to Santa Monica Mountains in San Fernando Valley in Woodland Hills. This neighborhood is located southwest of the Valley. On its west, there's Tarzana, eastern side Calabasas and the northern side West Hills and Winnetka. Woodland Hills has a rich history of having been inhabited by Native Americans thousands of years ago. In San Fernando Valley, Woodland Hills is the neighborhood most affected by fluctuations in temperatures and weather conditions. In the summer season, Woodland Hills records some of the highest temperatures in the region, while in winter, it becomes one of the coldest places. The climate in this region is predominantly Mediterranean, characterized by mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. Unlike Lake Balboa and North Hollywood, Woodland Hills is occupied mainly by white people, and the population density is one of the lowest in San Fernando Valley.

When it comes to governance and local administration, Woodland Hills is represented by an elected body, Woodland Hills Warner Center Neighborhood Council, to the city of Los Angeles. In federal administration, Woodland Hills is under California's 30th Congressional District. Under state representation, Woodland Hills is represented within California's 45th State Assembly district.

Woodland Hills is a rich educational center with various public, private and charter schools mushrooming everywhere. Some of the schools here are; The Alexandria Academy, Halsey schools, William Howard Taft High School, Calvert Street Elementary School, Lockhurst Elementary School, George Ellery Hale Charter Academy, and Los Angeles Pierce College. A branch of the Los Angeles Public Library is operational in Woodland Hills too. The most notable health care infrastructure in Woodland Hills is the Motion Picture and Television Country House and Hospital, a private health facility for industry professionals.

Woodland Hills has its fair share of parks and entertainment facilities. Woodland Hills Country Club is a private equity golf club that offers plenty of recreational activities; there's Woodland Recreation Centre which covers.7 hectares; the Warner Centre Park, among many others. Hiking is much better here than in the other regions in San Fernando Valley. The Top of Topanga Overlook and Upper Las Virgenes Open Space take the hiking experience to a new height.

Access to Los Angeles is simple with the terminus and highways. For shopping, the Westfield Topanga mall and Westfield Promenade are the places to go. Woodland Hills is a great place to reside as it is green and a great place to hike, bike, enjoy nature and other outdoor activities.
