Named after the studio established by Mack Sennett in the 1920s, Studio City is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in San Fernando Valley. The neighborhood is located on the southeastern side of the Valley, with the Cahuenga Pass on the western end. Studio City was previously known as Laurelwood. Valley Village borders Studio City on the northern side; on the Eastern part is Universal City and Toluca Lake, and Sherman Oaks on the western wing. Two water bodies that flow through Studio City are the Los Angeles River and Tujunga wash.
Across Moorpark Street is the Studio City public library that's still under Los Angeles Public Library. Studio City has numerous schools and education centers such as St. Charles Borromeo School, Oakwood School, Harvard Westlake School, Campbell Hall School, etc.
The resourceful Beeman Park is the key recreational park in Studio City. It features an auditorium, barbecues, a lighted baseball diamond, an outdoor running and walking track, lighted outdoor basketball courts, a children's play area, and many other facilities. The Beeman Park isn't the only outlet in Studio City. We have a variety that includes; a 128-acre Wilacre Park, Fryman Canyon Park, a 122-acre nature park, Cold Water Canyon Park, and the Studio City Mini-park. Other notable places in Studio City are the CBS Studio Centre and Campo de Cahuenga.
Studio City is locally represented by the Studio City Neighbourhood Council and is under the City Council District 2.
Studio City is home to many Holly celebrities; the housing market is a bit inflated. The housing structures are incredibly gorgeous and kind of mixed; there are classic single-level homes intermingled with modern two-story homes. More than 50,000 people reside in Studio City, with more than two-thirds of the population being Studio white Americans, a relatively diverse community. The jobs in Studio City are not limited to the many filming studios as there are other platforms in finance, tech, etc.
People in a hippie neighborhood with various trendy restaurants, fashion outlets, and sushi shops will hit the jackpot with Studio City. Even though the cost of living is relatively higher compared to other neighborhoods in San Fernando Valley, Studio City is worth it. For a thrilling neighborhood in San Fernando Valley, check out Encino.
