Toluca Lake, California

Toluca Lake is a neighborhood based in San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Toluca Lake also shares its name with the private lake in the region. Toluca Lake is best known for hosting the reception party for the former president, Ronald Reagan, and his wife, Nancy Reagan. The neighborhood occupies an area of approximately 1.2 square miles, and some of it spills over into Burbank. Toluca Lake is located behind North Hollywood and Burbank, with North Hollywood being on the northern border and Burbank on the Eastern edge. To the south are Universal City and Studio City on the western end.

On the southeastern borders of Toluca Lake is the private lake occupying six acres of land. This area has been known for having some of the lowest population densities in the whole of San Fernando Valley and being predominantly populated by a white populace. Toluca Lake has an extensive history tracing back to the Spanish conquest of the 1700s. The neighborhood was established in 1923 and is currently under the state of California in the county of Los Angeles. According to past studies, the population of Toluca Lake is one of the most educated in the region, boasting an impressive 48.4% of residents with a four-year degree. The schools in this area are; Toluca Lake Elementary School, East Valley Senior High school, and Toluca Crossroads School, a private elementary school. Some of the most excellent and upscale homes and shelters are based in Toluca Lake. Due to its proximity to the movie and television studios in Los Angeles, Toluca Lake is inhabited mainly by celebrities and other high-profile artists in the entertainment industry.

Toluca Lake is an autonomous district with plenty of shopping spots and entertainment joints. Some of these include; the Falcon Theatre, Priscilla's, a cozy coffee bar, and the niche shops located along Riverside Drive. The local lake also does provide a recreational outlet with the swans and boat riding activities. The private gated Lakeside Golf Club is another top recreational spot in the area. The other regions of Los Angeles are accessible by private means or public transit.
